DRAKE KYALIMPA PhD.

PhD (Economics), University of Dundee, UK; MSc.Economics/Economic Research), University of North Texas, USA; BSc.(Economics), Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.

Dr Drake Kyalimpa is an applied research and development economist whose current work focuses on energy economics and policy, economic growth and poverty alleviation, input-output and social accounting matrix multiplier analyses, computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling, applied econometrics and macroeconomics. He has consulted with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development and the Centre for Performance Management and Evaluative Research as a Petroleum and Mineral Subsector Value Chain Economist/Specialist. In addition, he has 8 years of working experience on research grant projects. Drake is exceptionally trained in economic policy research, modelling, and data analysis tools. Drake graduated with a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Dundee, UK; a Master of Science Degree in Economics from the University of North Texas, USA, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Makerere University, Uganda. 

BWESIGYE DON BINYINA

MSc (Mineral & Energy Economics) Curtin University, Perth Western Australia. LLB (Hons) Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda

Don is a Mineral and Energy Policy analyst wih profound passion for sustainable development of the extractives industries sector in Uganda. His work focuses on building national and local content initiatives; social corporate responsibility; social and economic linkages to the extractives industries sector.. He has researched and published several media articles and reprts about Uganda and East Africa's Mineral and Energy wealth. He has consulted for several domestic public and private sector institutions; domestic and international civil society; the U.N agencies in Uganda; World food Programme. Don with  a Master of Science (Mineral and Energy Economics) from Curtin University, Western Australia; A Bachelors Degree in Law (Hons) from Makerere University; A Diploma in Law from LDC; Two (2) certificates of achievement in Mineral Economics and Regional Development and Mining from Western Australia (IM4DC) a Perth Western Australia

NOAH KANZIRA KASSIM

LLM, (OIL & GAS LAW) University of Aberdeen, Scotland U.K. LLB (Hons) Makerere University, Dip,Law ( LDC), Kampala, Uganda

Noah is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and other Courts of Judicature. He is a graduate of University of Aberdeen in Oil and Gas Law. He also has a range of qualifications in Business, commercial and social disciplines. He has considerable practical experience in business and commercial litigation, advice and practice. Noah has participated in several consultancies for local and international clientelein the area of Environmental management and law. He has deligentely executed cosultancies in the Energy sector, taxation and business development. He has worked in several public and private orgnisations. He is a member of the Uganda Law Society, East African Law Society, the Energy Institute of the United Kingdom and many other philanthropic organisations. He has been an active participant and contributor to many domestic and international conferences and seminars on oil, gas and energy regulation and practice.

PAUL KIGGALA

BSc in Industrial Chemistry  (MUK)

Paul holds a BSc in Industrial Chemistry from MUK. He has previously worked with at Kilembe Mines and Uganda Industrial Research Institute as Head of Ceramics. Paul is a member of the Uganda Contracts Monitoring Coalition. He has partiicpated and presented papers in several conferences and seminars on mining within the East African community. Previously he worked with Kilembe mines where he acquired practical experience about the mining sector in Uganda. He brings to the table over 10 years of experience in mineral research and analysis.

 

ROBERT BYARUHANGA 

Master of Oil and Gas management

(University of Coventry), U.K. Bachelor of Environment Management (MUK).

Robert holds a Master of Oil and Gas Management from the University of Coventry, Westmidlands, United Kingdom. He holds a Bachelor of environment Management from Makerere University. He is a certified oil and gas  safety,  health and Environment (HSE) practitioner. He has immense knowledge of project management systems - requirements with guidance for use with (ISO 14001:2004), quality management systems - requirements (ISO 9001:2008),; petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries - sector specific quality management systems; requirements for Product and service supply organizations (ISO/TS 29001:2010); He comes from the Oil rich Albertine Graben in Uganda and commands over 6 years of experience in community engagements in the region. His practical experience cuts across the entire extractive industries value chain. Previously he has worked with the civil society engaged in Oil and Gas policy advocacy in Uganda and brings this rich experience to our multi-talented team.

 

Agatha Abaho

 

MBA Oil and Gas: Msc Energy EconomicsUniversity of Dundee (UK)

Agatha is a graduate of (MSc Energy Studies with specialization in Energy Finance. She holds an MBA International Oil & Gas Management). Agatha has acquired  experience in Oil and financial ratio analysis, Capital Asset Price Modeling, Oil and Gas futures modeling.  Previously she worked for Deloitte. She was a key figure in organizing the  2011 East African Petroleum Conference and Exhibition  with the theme “Harnessing East Africa’s Oil and Gas Potential and Utilising the Resources to Create Lasting Value” which brought together 1010 delegates from the Petroleum industry across East Africa and the world. Agatha supports our administrative and communication strategies tapping into her rich MBA in Oil and Gas and MSc. Energy Studies.

Erinah Kagisha

 

LLM (Oil and Gas) 

University of Aberdeen, Scotland (UK)

Kagisha holds a master of laws (oil and gas) from the university of Aberdeen , a bachelor of laws from Makerere University, a Cambridge University English certificate and pursuing a certificate of chartered secretaries and administrators ( ICSA- Institute of chartered secretaries and administrators-UK). She bears exhaustive knowledge and Experience in Energy contracting, regulation, licensing corporate responsibility, reciprocation and mutuality principles. Erinah has participated and faciliated a multiple of domestic and regional  Energy conferences and workshops in Uganda and the East African Community.

DICK MUHWEZI

MBA ( OIL & GAS) Robert Gordon University Scotland, UK. BSc. Mechanical Engineering, Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda

 

Dick holds MBA Oil and Gas Management from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom. I also hold BSc (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering and postgraduate training in PPM and Certificate in Strategic Procurement and Logistics Management from Makerere University. I am a Mechanical Engineer with a wide range managerial experience in both engineering, consulting and Procurement. In addition I have strong interpersonal, analytical and conceptual skills with a sharp eye for Business opportunities. I am a hardworking, self-motivated and responsible professional with an outgoing personality and excellent communication skills who enjoys meeting challenges and seeing them through, while remaining confident and good humour under pressure. Currently I am seeking a new challenge within the oil and gas sector where my rich professional experience and expertise can add value to the organization. I am a problem solver with the ability to adapt well to new situations and work as an effective team member anywhere in the World.

ANDREW OTIM

Masters in Accounting and Fiance ( Edith Cowan University-Perth, Western Australia. Bachelor of Economics and Management (MUK)

Andrew is an experienced international Accountant. He holds a Masters in Accounting and Finance from Edith Cowan University- Perth, Western Australia and a Bachelor of Economics and Management degree from Makerere University. His area of expertise include business analysis, forecast and cost management. Andrew has worked for several Australian consultancy firms. previously he worked for TOLL at the Perth International Airport.
 

Ivan Atuyambe

MA Governance and Public Policy (University  of Passau-Germany: MA. Anti-Corruption Studies Internationla Anti-Corruption Academy- Vienna Austria.

Ivan Atuyambe is an independent Governance and Development Management Advisor and consultant (focus on accountability and anti-corruption policy best practices). He teaches Political Science, Governance and International Relations at university. He is a Contributor to the United Nations Global Anti-Corruption Academic Initiative (ACAD). Ivan holds a Bachelors of Public Administration and Management degree. He holds a Masters in Good Governance and Public Policy from the University of Passau (Germany), Master in Anti-Corruption Studies: Governance and Development Accountability from the International Anti-Corruption Academy (Austria).  He is a contributor (voluntary) to the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration, holds a consultative status with the United Nations Commission for Social and Economic Affairs and the World Bank Open Governance Initiative.He has held various governance expert positions as support consultant including work for the United Nations, Transparency International (UK, Uganda, Norway, and Kenya), Global Integrity, Washington DC, USA (Peer Reviewer, the Mo Ibrahim Africa Governance Indicators Programme).

Ssempebwa George William

 

MA. in Economic Policy Management, Makerere University- Kampala, Uganda.

William holds a Masters of Arts in Economic Policy Management and a Bachelor of Arts with Education degrees of Makerere University Kampala, Uganda. He has over 9 years of professional experience in the areas of designing and implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation Systems for Policy, Programmes and Projects at Institutional, Project, Programme, and Sector level; Designing and Implementing Monitoring & Evaluation Systems, Research, Data Collection and Statistical Analysis; Training and Capacity Building; Strategic Planning, Management and Economic Analysis. Previously he worked with Centre for Performance Management and Evaluative Research (CPMER), Kampala,  as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. He has consuted for the Minerals, Energy and Petroleum Resources, Judiciary, health and education sectors in a very decorated career.

Emmanuel Muwonge

Emmanuel’s 2-year Master’s course in Energy and Resources Law at the University of Melbourne, Australia equipped him with practical skills, experience and sound knowledge in the Oil, Energy and Mineral sector. This coupled with his continued advocacy towards the protection of the rights of indigenous communities in the resource rich areas, has enabled him appreciate the value of good relations between the Multinational companies engaged in the Oil and Mining sector, the host nation and indigenous communities.Emmanuel has profound interest in the intricate subject of transparency and Corporate Social Responsibility with in the realm of Oil, Mining and Energy Sector.
